About Marie
More than 20 years of personal and professional embodied wisdom have shaped how I approach each session. My path into this work began with my own journey of healing and discovery, deepened through decades of meditation, movement and embodiment practice.
How I Work
I bring a unique combination of grounded somatic connection and heart-centered resonance to every session. My approach is gentle, humble, and deeply attentive - listening to what your body needs in each moment rather than following a predetermined plan.
The work I do now draws heavily on Biodynamic Cranial and Massage training, based on trusting the movement of life while setting aside motives to fix or effect change by will. We allow your body's inherent healing capacity to guides what emerges. This might mean long, still holds in specific areas or gentle flowing strokes, and sometimes deeper body weight pressure. I endeavor to attune precisely to what your system is asking for in each moment with my proximity, pressure and placement in space.
I hold the intention in every session to witness you just as you are, and to create together a palpable field of acceptance where healing can unfold naturally.
My Training
I'm a licensed massage therapist in both Oregon and Washington. My foundational training includes Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, and Shiatsu, plus specialized training in Massage for End-of-Life Care, Massage for People Living with Cancer, Biodynamic Cranial and most recently certification in Vodder Method Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
My ongoing training in Biodynamic Cranial work has become central to how I practice. I also incorporate subtle energy techniques I have developed through my interest in and study of Pranic Healing, Resonant Attention, Subtle Energy Mechanics, and Mutual Awakening.
Two Expressions of the Same Heart
My studio sessions serve people who are drawn to gentle, connective bodywork. These sessions happen in my peaceful Hood River studio space.
Through Providence Hospice of the Gorge, I provide massage for individuals nearing the end of life. There is no cost to enrolled patients. These gentle treatments focus on comfort, reducing anxiety and pain, and bringing ease. The same principles guide this work - deep presence, gentle touch, and honoring the truth of the body.
Life in the Gorge
My husband and I live in Hood River, where we raised our two adventurous adult children. I love to dance, swim, explore emergent cultural and spiritual possibilities, and create beautiful spaces when I have the chance. Time in nature feeds my soul and informs my work.
The humble and resilient wild plants that pop up along roadsides, in the cracks of the sidewalk, in untended areas have always spoken to me, sharing their messages of grace through transition, beauty’s presence in any moment and through changing forms, deep nourishment, and the quiet strength to bloom wherever life plants you.
This Work Is For You If...
You resonate with gentle, subtle approaches to healing. You're comfortable in your body and curious about what emerges with sustained, caring attention. You understand that profound shifts often happen in stillness, and you're open to deepening your internal body awareness. .
You might not be drawn to this work if you're seeking deep tissue massage, specific therapeutic intervention, or sports therapy. True healing comes from within. My experience has shown that when we are able to meet in a shared space of connection and softening, we can open to greater transformation. This is what I endeavor to offer.

Ready to Begin?
If my approach resonates with you, I'd love to support your healing journey. Each session is an opportunity to connect more deeply with your body's innate wisdom.
